Grenada Billfish Tournament 2019

Another successful Spice Island Billfish Tournament in Grenada. This year a total of 74 boats attended the competition to catch 5 blue marlins, 1 white marlin and 143 sailfish among other quality fish such as tuna, dolphinfish and wahoo. These are the results:

Top 10 Boats:

1st Place was "Hard Play III", with 7 Sailfish, 1 White Marlin and 1 Blue Marlin for a total of 3,300pts. Grenada.

2nd place for "Predator" with 8 Sailfish and 2,700pts. Trinidad & Tobago

3rd place was "Kala Girl" with 8 Sailfish and 2,700pts. Trinidad & Tobago

4th for "Real Crazy Too" with 7 Sailfish and 2,400pts. Barbados

5th boat "Exile 65" with 6 Sailfish and 2,100pts. USA

6th place for "Challenge II" with 6 Sailfish and 2,100pts. Barbados

7th was "Brave Heart" with 6 Sailfish and 2,100pts. Trinidad & Tobago

8th position for "Knot Easy" with 6 Sailfish and 2,100pts. Trinidad & Tobago

9th place boat was "Pair a Dice" with 5 Sailfish and 1,800pts. Trinidad & Tobago

10th place for "Exile" with 5 Sailfish and 1,800pts. USA.

Top Angler:

1st place was Diana Webster with 7 Sailfish Releases and 2,100pts. On board "Real Crazy Too".

2nd place angler for Anders Thornberg with 2 Sailfish, 1 Blue Marlin, 1 White Marlin for a total of 1,500pts on board "Hard Play III"

3rd place by Christopher Van Grieken with 4 Sailfish Releases and 1,200pts on board "Exile 65"

Top Junior Angler was won by Rayne Ernst with 2 Sailfish Releases and 600pts. Grenada.

Top Female Angler:

1st place was Diana Webster with 7 Sailfish Releases and 2,100pts. On board "Real Crazy Too".

2nd Place for Rayne Ernst with 2 Sailfish Releases and 600pts on board "Ossie". Grenada.

3rd place female angler for Tachelle Mohammed with 1 Sailfish Release and 300pts on board "Men of Steel". Tobago.

Heaviest fish brought to scale:

Yellowfin Tuna: 158 lbs by Keegan Williams on board "Men of Steel". Tobago.

Wahoo: 59 lbs by Christian Mansur from "Exile 65". USA.

Dolphinfish: 36 lbs by Jean Paul Debs on board "Kala Girl". Trinidad & Tobago.
